We are seeking nominations for the:
2009 Positive Youth Sports Alliance of Essex Coach of the Year

Please nominate a coach who has demonstrated a commitment to our mission and:

• shows RESPECT for the rules, opponents, officials, teammates, and one’s self
• acknowledges that making mistakes and losing are a part of life and these times are opportunities for learning
• represents our community in a positive manner
• places the needs of players first i
• s a positive role model
• respects each player as an individual
• provides a safe, fun, and healthy environment
• prepares organized practices that are skill enhancing

The coach’s contributions should have been made in 2009. Previous work and a history of accomplishments may also be included, with an emphasis on recent actions.

The coach’s contributions must have come from coaching in one of the following eligible organizations: ADL, EMS, EHS, Essex Junction Recreation and Parks, Essex Parks and Recreation, Essex Junction Little League, Essex Town Little League, Essex Town Softball Little League, Essex Youth Lacrosse, Essex Youth Hockey Association, Essex Mini Metro Basketball, Aqua-X Swim Program, Essex United Soccer Club, Essex Youth Wrestling, and/or Essex Babe Ruth.

For the nomination, in 500-words or less, you will need to describe how this coach has demonstrated a commitment to the criteria and mission above during 2009. Please be specific to the criteria. Players, coaches, parents, spectators, officials, organizational leaders, or anyone may submit a nomination. Submissions must be made online. No addendums or additional materials please. Nominations must be received by 4:00p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2010. The 2009 Coach of the Year presentation will be made in March, 2010.
